Abstract
"This is a PhD research project in Physics.
"The project is devoted to thoroughly explore different optical nonlinear interactions in new microstructures such as dispersion-oscillating fibres, and width-modulated silicon-photonic waveguides. The aim is to harness spontaneous four-wave mixing parametric processes in these kinds of waveguides to tailor the spectral properties of the output single photons".
