Investigation of magnesium-transition metal borates for battery applications.
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Cambridge
Department Name: Physics
Abstract
This project involves the solid-state synthesis of new materials containing Mg, B, O and transition metal ions. Products are characterised using powder diffraction methods, magnetometry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and galvanostatic cycling in order to probe the relationships between structure, composition and potential application in rechargeable batteries.
