Phylogeography of amphibians
Lead Research Organisation:
University College London
Department Name: Genetics Evolution and Environment
Abstract
This project will focus on an endemic Iberian amphibian, looking at changes in genetic diversity and structure over the total range, in addition to studying demographic processesin the recent history of the species. The second data chapter will focus on island phylogeography in Seychelles caecilians. Furthermore, the use of reduced-representation genomic sequencing in this project will offer a much higher resolution analysis of patterns of genetic diversity within the study species than previous locus-based studies.
