Department Name: Chemistry
Abstract
This project will investigate the electrochemical generation and utilization of oxygen-centered radicals. These important radical species will be generated using via anodic oxidation or cathodic reduction of readily available precursors. Once generated, the oxygen-centered radicals will be utilized in a variety of important bond-forming processes to generate valuable products. The ultimate goal of this project is to employ electrochemistry to invent new sustainable synthetic transformations.
