Abstract
This project will use the all sky survey TESS data to create a statistically robust sample of planets with measured radii and masses, and hence inferred densities. The TESS data will allow statistics on planet size distribution to be calculated, but due to its bright target selection enough of these detections should be characterisable by radial velocity to lead to a standardisable sample of planet masses and densities. The results will allow a deep understanding of the typical composition of planets, what level of core and envelope mass fractions are typical, and provide experimental constraints on planet structure and formation models.
