Machine learning in Single-molecule Science
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Birmingham
Department Name: School of Chemistry
Abstract
Key objectives:
- Utilise an Electrochemical Scanning-Tunnelling Microscope to detect nucleotide single molecules via Current-Time Spectroscopy
- Utilise machine-learning algorithms to classify each molecule into its respective class based on Current-Time data
The results of the above will determine whether the use of electrical current sensing techniques could be used for developing a new technique of DNA sequencing.
