Multiphase Materials For Biomedical Applications
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Nottingham
Department Name: Faculty of Engineering
Abstract
Develop new multiphase materials based on bulk or coating structures that can be further processed through advanced manufacturing methods. Isolation and
identification of these multiphase structures (such as titanates), will be conducted during this project, with exploration of the property/processing relationships to predict and deliver these new structures.
By using bulk processing/chemical and physical methodologies, production og both inert and biodegradable structures with potential for medical devices/surfaces ranging from wet chemical & solid synthesis to atomistic PVD and CVD.
