Abstract
Eddy current measurements using OPMs can determine the conductivity of objects, as a primary field induces eddy currents in the object of interest. This in turn produces an induced magnetic field, which can be detected using an OPM. Currently, we are working on building a portable OPM, such that it can be tested for biomedical and defence applications. My work currently involves theoretical and experimental work on designing and building the portable OPM, as well as the signals that will be expected to be measured experimentally in the coming months.
