Black holes and entanglement

Abstract
Recently, significant progress has been made in understanding the crossover in the Page curve for evaporating black holes. The new results are based on the so-called quantum extremal surface whose area is the entanglement entropy. Simple models have been built in order to reproduce a crossover at the Page time. The goal of the project is to build more realistic models of black holes and to understand the relationship of the new results with other ideas, such as the ER-EPR conjecture.
