Abstract
My research investigates whether we can use clinically acquired CT brain imaging to predict cognitive and functional outcomes after stroke. More specifically, I am using longitudinal datasets to investigate whether post-stroke outcomes are predicted by CT-derived measures of cerebral atrophy, white matter lesions, and pre-existing stroke lesions. A broader aim of my research is to assist in the development and validation of automated image analysis software to measure these imaging markers on CT brain imaging. My research is supervised by Dr Nele Demeyere, with co-supervision from Dr Sarah Pendlebury and Dr Sana Suri. My DPhil is funded by the ESRC's 1+3 Grand Union DTP studentship.
