Pile Cloth Media Filter for Solids Removal from Wastewater
Lead Research Organisation:
CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY
Department Name: School of Water, Energy and Environment
Abstract
The aims to advance the development of a novel pile cloth media filter for particulates removal from wastewater. The work will include pilot testing of the technology at demonstration scale at Cranfield University's wastewater treatment plant for the evaluation of new cloth materials over a range of conditions (e.g. feed flow, backwash trigger and intensity, helminth eggs removal), as well as lab scale controlled experiments to develop a robust understanding of the underpinning science of the filtration process in the pile media filter.
