Abstract
This project aims to develop a balanced discharge system for defective and old battery cells, in order to prepare them for recycling or land fill. This project aims to develop a new high step up converter allowing for a conversion ratio of >1:10, maintaining its efficiency operating at a high power.
* Develop a high step up boost converter for high power application
* Develop a dynamic cell balancing technique, with the possibility of dynamically selecting cells based on SOC.
* Build a small scale model
* Test system with small number of cells
* Build large scale model
* Test system with a 32 cells
* Validate experimental results with simulation
