Abstract
This PhD will investigate additive manufacture of titanium alloy lattice structures, with the aim of improving the fatigue life. This will be done through a combination of post-processing methods to improve the metallurgy and surface finish of the lattice structures. Success with this project would help the deployment of lattice structures in the orthopaedic industry where they have potential for orthopaedic implant materials.
