Repeaterless Quantum Networks for City-Wide Deployment
Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: Physics
Abstract
Significant progress has been made in experimental quantum networks, however current hardware is not sufficient to allow for a fully integrated, reliable, long range quantum network. Quantum repeaters are necessary for communication at distances longer than a few 100km, however the technology has not progressed enough for wide scale deployment of quantum repeaters. This project will focus on the design and testing of quantum networks with potential to be deployed on city-wide scales.
