Luminescent arrays for the detection of liver fibrosis

Abstract
This project involves the synthesis of luminescent molecular architectures, for use in an early stage detection tool for liver fibrosis. The sensor molecules created will be tested against clinical samples, and the resulting data analysed with statistical pattern recognition tools. This research intersects synthetic and analytical chemistry, statistics and clinical medicine and will be carried out in collaboration with engineers at Glasgow University and clinicians in Edinburgh and London
