Abstract
As part of two EU projects, we have over the last few years successfully developed Al-doped ZnO optical solar reflectors (OSR) and VO2 based smart OSR for passive cooling of satellites. The ideas behind these patented inventions will be applied to create a new class of smart metamaterials.
