Single atom catalysts for aqueous phase reforming of oxygenated biowaste
Lead Research Organisation:
Loughborough University
Department Name: School of Science
Abstract
The project involves the design of single atom heterogeneous catalysis using DFT theory as a predictive model for the stability of various monatomic transition metal cations on oxide/carbide support surfaces. DFT studies will also provide a guide to the catalyst's reactivity in aqueous phase reforming.
These catalysts will then be synthesised and tested for the aqueous phase reforming of oxygenated waste.
These catalysts will then be synthesised and tested for the aqueous phase reforming of oxygenated waste.
