Lead Research Organisation:
University College London
Department Name: Epidemiology and Public Health
Abstract
Using data from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) and Add Health, this research aims to investigate how early life social connections, such as social support and loneliness, influence body composition across adolescence and young adulthood. Potential underlying biological mechanisms, including stress and inflammatory responses, will also be explored.
