Social Assets and Multimorbidity: a biosocial analysis
Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: Epidemiology and Public Health
Abstract
The unmet demand within the U.K. health system is well documented, however, the prevalence of multimorbidity is growing rapidly across the globe. Multimorbidity is characterised by the sequalae it creates physically, mentally and across an individual's social- and material- position, yet little is known about the role of social assets. This project seeks to explore how micro-, meso- and macro- level social assets impact those living with multiple long-term conditions, to understand how domains interact and how these can be used to inform policy to better the outcomes of those living with multimorbidity.
