Lead Research Organisation:
King's College London
Department Name: Geography
Abstract
As a low-lying coastal city in South West Nigeria, Lagos is
extremely prone to flooding. However, its coastal location
is also its strength if the government can mitigate against
the projected effects climate change will have on the
industry. Given the economic importance of the city to
Nigeria's economy, the potential for growth in the tourism
industry and the projected effects of climate change in the
city, it is crucial to understand, and use this information to
reduce, the effect climate change will have on the tourism
industry.
