Abstract
Using the expertise in plant adaptation, vascular development, photosynthesis
and molecular signalling of the supervisory team, the PhD student will investigate
how temperature, photoperiod and sugar impact in the regulation of plant vascular
differentiation and its role in optimizing photosynthesis in the model plant
Arabidopsis. The student will also test how the results from the investigation can
be used for the generation of novel strategies to improve plant adaptation to
stress.
