Abstract
There has been an institutional and academic turn towards the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus, focusing on closer coordination between disparate humanitarian intervention, development actors, and aid organisation, including in the context of internal displacement, as well as gender (UN, IOM, Oxfam, Zetter for the Finnish MFA, Asfour). My doctoral research proposes a closer examination of both these strands, examining how female IDPs can be part of the HDP nexus approach towards sustainable reintegration, beginning with the case study of Northwest and Northeast Syria where the majority of IDPs are women or children.
