Abstract
Robot Guide Dog for the Visually Impaired People who are visually impaired often must deal with complex environments,
both at home and outside. Guide dogs have been used successfully to aid in these environments. However, obtaining a
guide dog is a long process that can leave people without assistance for months or years. In this project, we propose to
create a Robot Guide Dog which would be capable of navigating complex environment while ensuring the safety of its
user. The project proposes to deploy a Boston Dynamics SPOT robot to create a live demonstrator and test-bed, while
focusing on developing technologies that will aid all types of mobile robot.
