Abstract
This CASE application is a new collaboration between Plevin, Spicer and
Syngenta that builds on previous BBSRC funded research (BB/T012013/1).
The student will be largely based in the Plevin group in York. Characterisation
of the biophysical properties of resulting protein targets will be conducted with
Plevin and will employ relevant biochemical, biophysical and structural
techniques. The student will spend significant time in the Spicer Lab where
they will gain expertise in chemical modification of proteins and the use of
non-native amino acids technologies to modify protein function.
