| Description | This project conducted an initial market assessment and IP analysis to help determine the commercial opportunity surrounding a low-temperature microbial expression platform currently under development. In particular, this assessment sought to determine the best strategy for protecting intellectual the team's intellectual property and the market need for low-temperature expression system in applications other than detergents. The expression system has potential use for expressing cold-active enzymes but also more widely for difficult to express proteins that would benefit from the slower folding and greater solubility associated with lower temperatures. |
