Description | This VIGS workshop helped us to establish new fruitful collaborations, obtain new grants, and carry out novel experimentation using VIGS that resulted in quality publications including research articles and reviews. |
Exploitation Route | We published protocols for using VIGS for identification of plant genes involved in wheat interaction with the economically important fungal pathogens of wheat, Zymoseptoria tritici and Fusarium graminearum. To our knowledge these protocols are being utilised by several academic laboratories and also industry. |
Sectors | Agriculture, Food and Drink |
Description | The Barley stripe mosaic virus (BSMV) technology has been utilised for discovery of genes in barley and wheat underlying agriculturally important traits by academics as well as industry. |
