Description | This is a capital award that supported the purchase of equipment to enhance the experimental facilities within Queen's University Belfast to provide a richer practical training environment for students participating in the CDT in Photonic Integration and Advanced Data Storage. In addition the equipment is available when not being used by those students to other research students such as those supported via our DTP award. We expect outcomes to arise in coming year as the first cohorts of students to use the equipment in training have now moved into their substantive PhD research programmes within the CDT. |
Exploitation Route | The students enhanced skills will be applicable to the two University partners and those industry participants and sponsors involved in the CDT. |
