Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description A new model for adsorption of multicomponent mixtures has been formulated that allows to describe the effect of flexible structures on adsorption. This is the basis for the design of novel separation processes based on the novel materials developed as part of this project. We are now able to describe accurately the dynamics of these complex systems and engineer the processes to achieve optimal performances.
Exploitation Route Flexible zeolites offer some unique advantages in the separation of small molecules and suppliers of such molecules (industrial gas companies) or users of high purity gases may use these materials in their processes.
