The JCMS Annual Review Lecture Divided and Declining? E urope in a Changing World
in JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies
Description | The research has uncovered the role institutions play in shaping the nature of defence cooperation. Looking at the case of EU defence cooperation, it has uncovered not only the way in which the institutions of the EU have limited its ability to develop a meaningful ability to carry out military missions, but also the way in which member states and entrenched structures within them prevent the transfer of key capabilities to the EU. |
Exploitation Route | IT would be interesting to try to generalise the findings by looking at other defence institutions in other parts of the world. |
