These outputs are then reviewed by 2 senior analysts to check for any small numbers or potential risks of identification of people. Previously this was a manual process that relied on the two reviewers to obtain, assess and return reviews. The Welsh Government has benefitted enormously from its partnership with the SAIL databank to date, and this is no better exemplified than through the relationship with the Technical Advisory Group who are responsible to the Welsh Government for developing and interpreting the scientific and technical advice relating to the pandemic. From the earliest days of the pandemic, the One Wales team approach to developing data resources and analysis, coordinated by SAIL colleagues, has been immensely helpful. A second round of skills framework validation (including proficiency levels and competencies - (i) Personae and (ii) Framework. Participants were asked to mix personas and create new ones through interviewing and discussion. Participants were also asked to do mind-mapping for each subject area, considering the personae and training need at what level and how deep, and specify a particular proficiency level. The objectives of the event were: • Second round of skills framework validation (including proficiency levels and competencies). • Feasibility of the learning opportunities proposed for the different proficiency levels. • How the training gets prioritised and ordered. • How to make the skills framework look enticing for people to want to do the training. • Learner journey mapping. • How do we specify pre-requisites and the type of accreditation? • What are the training needs/gaps identified based on the skills framework? • How can we provide the training needs/gaps identified based on the skills framework?" |

The interviews aimed to find out how we can provide the identified training needs and prioritise them. Participants were presented with the unmet training needs and gaps identified during the interviews and consultation workshops. The interview questions included how to prioritise and order of the training, how deep and long the training needs to be, how to specify prerequisites and the type of accreditation required, and how to specify in/out for the gaps. |
