A PATT linked grant for Leeds
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Leeds
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy
Abstract
The requested funds will be used for travel and subsistence to ground-based telescopes by researchers at the University of Leeds, and where applicable, their time. This will allow a programme of research to be carried out in areas of star formation, stellar evolution, interactions with the interstellar medium and active galaxies. We request continuation of funds for the VERITAS and the MSSSO 2.3m telescopes.

Description | The grant is to fund travel and subsistence of Leeds astronomers to conduct (competitively won) observations at the world's leading telescopes. The research carried out feeds directly into Leeds efforts funded by STFC Rolling and consolidated grants awards and mainly concern understanding the process of the formation of stars and planets. |
Exploitation Route | Based on our results, science has progressed, and the publications and associated citations are the main contribution to the field. |
