Imperial HEP Consolidated Grant "The study of elementary particles and their interactions" Capital Equipment 2018
Lead Research Organisation:
Imperial College London
Department Name: Physics
Abstract
Four of the equipment items listed in the Case for Support will allow us to continue to lead in electronics developments, for CMS, LHCB and other experiments. This will also benefit impact through applications outside HEP.
The fifth item is a general purpose leak checker for use in our Dark Matter laboratory, as well as in the accelerator and detector development areas.

Planned Impact
We have a significant impact effort in the application of HEP technology to other areas. To a large extent, these applications all involve the expertise in high-end, specialised electronics which we have built up over the last decade or so. Therefore, the equipment proposed in this bid will directly benefit these developments.
