Description | Staff in the Geophysical Tomography Team have developed and tested a new code to determine borehole deviation from Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) data - this will be applicable to a very wide range of down-hole and cross borehole imaging applications. Many geophysical investigations using ERT require electrodes located in boreholes - but borehole deviations cause the positions of the electrodes to be uncertain to varying degrees, and often traditional deviation surveys cannot be used due to the nature of the installations.
