Description | Sentinel-3 validation team |
Organisation | European Space Agency |
Country | France |
Sector | Public |
PI Contribution | Membership of validation team contributing to expertise in ice sheet altimetry. |
Collaborator Contribution | Technical, mission and operational expertise in altimetry. |
Impact | We have evaluated the geophysical content of Sentinel-3 commissioning phase retrievals and the geophysical quality of Sentinel-3a altimetry data over land and sea ice, including independent validation using other satellite and airborne measurements. We will continue with further validation and advisory activities, and undertake early analysis of Sentinel-3b data during the satellite commissioning phase.
