Description Sentinel-3 validation team
Organisation European Space Agency
Country France
Sector Public
PI Contribution Membership of validation team contributing to expertise in ice sheet altimetry.
Collaborator Contribution Technical, mission and operational expertise in altimetry.
Impact We have evaluated the geophysical content of Sentinel-3 commissioning phase retrievals and the geophysical quality of Sentinel-3a altimetry data over land and sea ice, including independent validation using other satellite and airborne measurements. We will continue with further validation and advisory activities, and undertake early analysis of Sentinel-3b data during the satellite commissioning phase.
