Lead Research Organisation:
University of Cambridge
Department Name: Chemistry
Abstract
One of the leading areas for new synergistic therapeutic modalities is Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs). The development of new cytotoxic payloads with distinctly different mechanisms of action will be crucial to the further advancement of the field and the emergence of next generation ADCs. This research project aims to address this area with objectives to explore the chemical synthesis of new natural product based warheads and novel linkers. The project is within the EPSRC Research Areas of 'chemical biology and biological chemistry' and 'synthetic organic chemistry'. The project is within the portfolio themes of 'healthcare technologies', 'physical sciences' and 'manufacturing the future'.
