Relationship between synaptic dysfunction and degeneration in a rodent model of dementia

Abstract
Synaptic dysfunction plays a key role in the cognitive decline seen in dementias such as Alzheimers Disease. This PhD projkect will examine the function of individual synapses in a mouse model of dementia, using whole-cell electrophysiology and in vivo two-photon imaging techniques.
