Neutrino physics with SNO+
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Sussex
Department Name: Sch of Mathematical & Physical Sciences
Abstract
The SNO+ experiment offers a rich programme of neutrino physics in addition to the neutrinoless double beta decay search, with first data foreseen in 2017. The PhD candidate is expected to participate in the development of an analysis and the subsequent application to early physics data. The student will also contribute to the calibration of the detector, including developing tools to analyze calibration data. The project is likely to involve spending an extended period of time at SNOLAB.
