Development and characterisation of novel anti arrhythmic drugs

Abstract

The aim of the project is to test the hypothesis that a similar chemical modification of two L type calcium channel blockers (LCBs), verapamil and diltiazem, will generate ischaemia-selective antiarrhythmic drugs with potential value in acute myocardial infarction (MI).
