Expanding the speciesist confines of animal abuse perspectives in criminology

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce new findings to fill significant gaps evident within the animal abuse literature which is located within the field of green criminology, a critical criminological perspective. The study will propose preventative measures around this under-researched issue, with the overall objective of informing policy and practice relating to the treatment of animals.
