Proton structure in the era of high precision measurement
Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: Physics
Abstract
I am working on improving parton distribution functions (PDFs), which describe the structure of protons, in the era of high precision experimental measurement at the Large Hadron Collider. I am predominantly working on doing this in two ways: firstly, by developing a framework for the systematic inclusion of theoretical uncertainties in PDFs; and secondly, by including new experimental data in PDF fits. Regarding the former, my work is focused on the inclusion of missing higher order uncertainties, and regarding the latter, my work is focused on the inclusion of single top production data. I will also work on PDF-related Standard Model and/or Beyond the Standard Model phenomenology.
