Department Name: Wolfson Centre for Age Related Diseases
Abstract
The student will be trained to use cutting-edge skills to assess a novel therapy for improving recovery after spinal cord injury. He/she will use surgical, behavioural, neurophysiological and anatomical techniques to assess sensorimotor recovery and neuroplasticity in mice after clinically-relevant contusion injuries. The Bradbury and Moon labs have strong track records in training: many of our former PhD students have obtained high impact publications and secured jobs as postdocs in world-class laboratories.
