Measuring Cosmological parameters with Photo-metric surveys.
Lead Research Organisation:
University College London
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy
Abstract
The project aims is to measure cosmological parameters with novel techniques applied to photo-metric surveys. The student will measure the cross correlation of photmetric surveys with spectroscopic surveys and use these measurements in order to constrain and calibrate the photo metric redshifts from the surveys as well as measuring cosmology. The Student will use ancillary data such as supernovae data and CMB data to enhance the measurements. There will be a thorough Bayesian analysis of the data sets together. The Student will participate to the collaboration work undertaken and contribute with his techniques to the DES, DESI and Euclid projects.
