Collider and astrophysical phenomenology of non-minimally coupled inflationary models

Lead Research Organisation: University of Manchester
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy

Abstract

One of the problems of the modern particle physics is the explanation of the inflationary expansion of the Early Universe. It can be realised in an elegant and minimal way in the context of the models that are non-minimally coupled to gravity. Such class of models are currently favoured from cosmological observations. The current project studies the constraints on these models from the collider searches of hidden sector long lived particles, and also analyses the possibilities of incorporation of Dark Matter candidates in this class of models.
