Measurements from the Pure Scintillator Phase of SNO+.

Lead Research Organisation: Queen Mary University of London
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

This project will focus on analysis of the first SNO+ pure scintillator data. Algorithms to reject background events will be developed and tested and background levels will be assessed. The feasibility of low energy solar neutrino measurements will be evaluated and the most promising analysis will be conducted to obtain meaningful physics results from the pure scintillator phase. Tools and techniques will also be propagated to analysis of double beta decay data if appropriate. The student will spend an LTA at SNOLAB during the second year.
