Abstract
In their paper `Verma modules for Iwasawa algebras are faithful' Ardakov and Wadsley raised two questions aimed at proving that there are no non-trivial ideals in Iwasawa algebras with rational coefficients associated to simple algebraic groups. In this project the goal will be to answer the second of these questions. The first step will be to extend as yet unpublished work of Giles, Janzer and Wadsley dealing
with certain generalised Verma modules in type A.
