diHiggs Resonance Search and measuring the diHiggs SM cross section in the 4b channel

Lead Research Organisation: University of Oxford
Department Name: Oxford Physics

Abstract

This project aims to set limits on the production of two Higgs bosons, a process which is predicted by the Standard Model (SM) but is expected to be very rare. Included is a search for resonances beyond the standard model that decay into pairs of Higgs bosons and to set limits on their production (if not found) based on Dark sector models. The Higgs bosons are identfied by the presence of B hadrons in jets and this project will search for the decays of the Higgs into 2 B hadrons. Since there are two Higgs bosons in the search, the signal has up to 4 jets.
