Exploring highly-correlated electron systems under uniaxial strain.

Lead Research Organisation: University of Cambridge
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

This project involves examining competing quantum interactions in highly-correlated electron systems, by measuring changes in their physical observables under the application of a tunable uniaxial pressure. Materials under investigation involve high-temperature superconductors and topological insulators.
