Supersymmetric Gauge Theory and Enumerative Geometry
Lead Research Organisation:
Durham University
Department Name: Mathematical Sciences
Abstract
Supersymmetric gauge theories are toy models of nature that exhibit a variety of interesting phenomena and yet can be solved exactly. The project will develop new techniques to compute partition functions of such theories using supersymmetric localisation and explore connections to topics in enumerative algebraic geometry, such as Donaldson-Thomas and Vafa-Witten theory.
