Abstract
1. Smart Wound Dressings: Here we are developing multi-parameter fibre optic sensors for monitoring the status of wounds and its dressing during the healing process. By using optical fibres, in-situ measurements can be performed by incorporating these sensors into existing medical wound dressings. The sensors incorporate functionalised coatings, FBGs and cladding removed fibres.
2. Smart Endotracheal Tubes: Endotracheal tubes provide a perfect vehicle for carrying fibre optic cables for the measurement of pressure and temperature with FBGs and physiological parameters such as oxygen saturation, heart and respiration rate using reflection mode fibre optics.
2. Smart Endotracheal Tubes: Endotracheal tubes provide a perfect vehicle for carrying fibre optic cables for the measurement of pressure and temperature with FBGs and physiological parameters such as oxygen saturation, heart and respiration rate using reflection mode fibre optics.
