Reactive intermediates by cross-coupling of neutral N-ligands

Lead Research Organisation: University of St Andrews
Department Name: Chemistry

Abstract

This project will involve the development of new methods to generate reactive intermediates by exploiting undervalued mechanistic aspects of cross-coupling. The project seeks to develop deep knowledge of mechanistic events in copper catalysis and show how this can be used to develop new reactivity. In addition, this project will aim to develop mechanistic understanding of important bond forming reactions used throughout synthetic chemistry.
